Telephoned my husband this morning, asked for him by name. It was a company asking for us to apply for a loan with them..When I said he wasn't interested they asked me if I would like a loan. I asked where they got his number from, they said he had filled in a loan application. He's never filled in a loan application! They then said it could have been a survey we had filled in about consolidating our debt. I pointed out we had no debt so wouldn't have done that. It was an Indian man called Mark who called us and I could hear other calls going on in the background. The really strange thing is the area code, it is only 15 miles from me in a tiny little village. There are no loan companies or anything set up in this area, only pensioners bungalows and farms. This freaked me out a bit!
