Just got called by this number. A man with a Indian accent was saying 'I am from your broadband's technical department. Because everytime you connect to your internet...', he went quiet then suddenly hang up. It's 100% a scam - DON'T trust these suckers.

This number called my home phone and said he was aware we had problems with slow internet broadband connections. He said he was calling from Virgin media, and he had an Indian accent. He sounded vague and as I have no problems with the Broadband connection I said this. I suspected already this was a scammer and he hung up.

This number called my home phone and the voice on the other end claimed that we had a virus on our pc/household internet and to start our computer up whilst he was on the phone but ,treating it a suspicious call we said it was not convenient and can you ring back tomorrow . He went on to ask who the bill payer was which we replied 'dont you know that already ' then he hung up .isnt there an easy way we can report these nuisence calls .

Indian man phoned from this number today claiming to be from "technical services" and asking if I'd had internet problems. I did have my computer shut down yesterday whilst trying to leave a comment on Facebook, and the Microsoft reporting system identified two files in my local temporary folder as causing it. I used a CCleaner programme to delete all temporary files in an attempt to remove them. Maybe there is a link with today's call. Anyway I just said "thank you" and "goodbye" and hung up.
The friend whose site I was visiting was tricked by people claiming his computer was causing internet problems a couple of years ago and he was swindled out of several thousand pounds and repeatedly pestered by their phonecalls for a year or so afterwards.

Got a call from this number on 11/12/2013. I did not recognise the number so I did not answer. Caller left no message. Probable scammer.

I had an Asian sounding woman call, saying she was from my broadband company. I guessed it was a scam, so i asked her MY name (no answer), i asked her my internet companies name, after a long pause she said BT. I am not with BT. She hung up.

Same as above. He asked me if I was experiencing problems with my internet connection and I abruptly said "no". He hung up. A very poor scammer - rather pathetic really.

This is someone who I think is a scammer. An Asian-sounding man called and told me he was a security company engaged by the Broadband provider. He told me that all our computers had been infected with a virus and wanted me to log on to a website. When I asked him which broadband provider he said "BT, Virgin, Talk Talk".
I then said I wanted to call him back and he asked me why. I said because I didn't believe he was who he said he was. He hung up.
The call-return is bogus as "this number is not recognised".
