Request to remove comment of phone number

A woman named Karen called me and said that i was a good candidate for working in Australia. I found it weird that my phone said that this call is from New York, when it should be from Australia. It is a scam, some kind of identity theft. I looked up on this www and i saw that there are a lot of us, who have this experience.
Is this something that Interpol should know about?
