Similar story, I received a text from this number inr elation to a sit on mower I had advertised in gum tree asking me to send further details to davedss99@gmail.com. I was suspicious but sent thro more info - and played along, I received the following
I am very keen. How i wish i could come for viewing and inspection as
am currently away at the moment and i want it picked up before i get
back, though i will be back in couple of weeks. Due to my inability to
make a bank deposit, I would be paying via PayPal which is safer for
me. Kindly send me a paypal payment invoice or create an account at
www.paypal.co.uk if you don't have one. I will make a concrete pick
up arrangement with my transport agent who will be coming over for
pick up once you receive full payment into your PayPal account. In the
meantime, I will like you to remove the AD from the internet to avoid
further inquiry as i will definitely be buying it.
I did raise a paypal invoice, and received a spam mail supposedly from my paypal account and this email from dave Dass
Hi,

I have made the payment but i have a problem here, i just got an email from my transport company that they won't come for the pick up unless i pay the transport fee first, and there is no way i could do that because am out of the country at the moment and i can't access western union here. I have decided to add the amount which is £300 while i paid through paypal which has not been deducted from my account but pending in your account. So please i will like you to help me transfer/wire the said £300 to the company via western union so they can be able to come for the pick up and also paypal said they won't release the funds until they get the western union information from you to confirm that the £300 has been sent due to the fact that i emailed them about the exess payment i made. The money will be sent to company's agents head office address in MALAYSIA but they will be coming from Wales. Here is the details which the money will be sent to:

Name: Noralezah Binti Razak
Address: B-5-7 Pucak Anthenium avenue
City:Ampang
State:Kuala Lumpur
Zipe code: 68000
Country: Malaysia

I was also told by paypal that a confirmation email has been sent to jo@mintmarketingsolutions.co.uk pls check all your mail folders i..e junk/spam to confirm my payment as it sometimes jumps in there.

Waiting to hear from you
Dave

I responded by saying he was committing fraud to which he replied with abuse!
Please beware of this scammer!

Had a text from the above number asking to buy my motorbike and the lowest price I would accept. The text asked me to contact them by email: Evansmax@outlook.com. I played along but not believing the offer to be genuine. The message I got back stated he (or she) worked on the rigs and the purchase was for their son and that a courier would be sent after the payment was made by Paypal. I asked for cash on collection which was declined as they stated it was safer for them. I then asked for the persons sons details , date of birth, address and driving licence number. The response gave an address in Dorset with a partial post code and a name. I pressed for the birth date and licence number. The response was to state the person had not got their licence yet but the details would be sent as soon as they were available! They obviously don't know the hoops you have to jump through to get an unlimited UK bike licence and would a responsible parent buy a 152bhp 275kg bike for a novice! I offered to deliver the bike as the address given is not that far from me. I've not had a response yet! Just when it was getting to be fun as well. A scammer without a brain.

Had a text message from this number in relation to a boat we have for sale, the sender wanted to deal via email only, the email address he provided was stuartmartin03@gmail.com. Unfortunately I replied to his request to contact via email but after reading the warnings on here, will have no further contact with him.

I have been contacted by this person asking only to deal by e-mail. His e-mail reads.

Thanks for your response,I'm ok with price and the conditions, l'm buying it for my vacation, because i'll be coming soon from rig. I started in 1987 in United Kingdom and although most of my work has been here in Brazil, recently up north in the oil sands, I have through the years also worked in Mexico,US and offshore in New Zealand.I won't be able to Inspection due to the nature of my work, would 've love to call in person but satellite server has been down which restrict calls. l'll contact my courier agent to contact you for pick it up and deliver it in my place. Plz get back to me with your paypal details in order for me to make payment to you cos that my only method of payment.

I informed him, I didn't have a paypal account, he sent an e-mail telling me how to set one up. I contacted paypal, who informed me that if I did what they asked I could end up losing my car and also my money.

So please take care any one who receives these tex or e-mails.

Dave Dass used iMessage to send me a message using the name Dave but asking me to reply to his email address davedss99@gmail.com. I was selling and iPhone and knew straight away that it was a scam. I played the game and the were all sorts of supposed payments and emails form paypal. In the end I signed his email address up for lots of spam. Thats should at least keep him busy LOL

Recently received a text from 07624803049, asking to email at davedss99@gmail.com.

Feelers on edge once asked to ship to his daughter in Russia. Tempted to see how deep the rabbit hole goes, states he cannot process PayPal payments to a certain email domain, I have sent a payment request instead which has not been completed. Have been asked to create an additional email address and add this to my PayPal account instead.

Avoid.

Similar story. A text asking to email davedss99@gmail.com. Via email, he tells me the iPhone he wants to buy is for his daughter in Sweden, "her birthday". He is "very keen", but "away with work". He offers PayPal "as advised by Gumtree", which I did not accept in my advert. Says he "[doesn't] know much about phones". Offers me above my asking price.

He seems unable to capitalise his "I"s...

I have emailed to decline.

I had a text message from this number very shortly after I put an advert online to sell my iPhone. I have advertised on eBay (the listing probably isn't even showing yet), Facebook and Gumtree. I suspect this person found my ad on Gumtree. The text came from +447624803049 and said "Hi,Hearing impaired man here,I just saw your mobile phone AD on gumtree and am very keen.let me know the condition.Kindly reach me at davedss99(at)gmail.com" (This is the exact text, including grammer, spaces etc). I am quite aware that there are scams about and many prefer to deal via email, so I wouldn't email them at all as doing so would then provide them with my email address. Instead I text back, and then I called the number. My network played a message saying calls would be charged which is unusual as i'm on contract with unlimited calls and i've never heard this message before. It's clearly not a normal UK mobile number, even though +44 is USUALLY a UK number. This is obviously a SCAMMER. Why would a hearing impaired person even want an iPhone :-/ , and why would they text from a dodgy number. Obviously best to avoid any communication at all!

I had a contact (Text) from this number with the name julia Bartone (they asked me to contact them via email address juliabartone@outlook.com, this gave me a concern). The person said they lived in Brazil and wanted to buy my motorbike using PayPal only and would have a courier collect it. They asked for details of my PayPal account and said they would pay the money in. I spoke to PayPal and they advised not to pass the details overseas as they can claim they didn't receive the motorbike and claim the money back and I will lose the bike. I refused to sell to them. It all seemed a bit odd and they would not say where they saw my advert!
